Camera commonly used parameter interpretation

发布时间 : 2023-08-26

1. Resolution

The so-called resolution is the resolution of the finger painting surface, and the number of Pixels of the image collected by the camera each time (Pixels) is generally directly corresponding to the pixel number of the sensor for the camera. The resolution you usually see is represented in a multiplicative form, such as 1024*768, where 1024 represents the number of points displayed horizontally on the screen and 768 represents the number of points in the vertical direction. For analog cameras, it depends on the video system, PAL system 768*576, NTSC system 640*480.

The image collection and transmission rate of the camera is generally the number of Frames per second (Sec.) for the planar array camera and the number of lines per second (Hz) for the linear array camera.

3. Exposure and Shutter

For line array cameras are line by line exposure mode, you can choose a fixed line frequency and external trigger synchronization acquisition mode, exposure time can be consistent with the line cycle, you can also set a fixed time; There are several common methods such as frame exposure, field exposure and rolling line exposure, and digital cameras generally provide the function of external trigger sampling. Shutter speeds typically reach 10 microseconds, and high-speed cameras can be even faster.

4. Pixel Depth:

That is, the number of bits per pixel of data is generally 8Bit, and there are generally 10Bit, 12Bit and so on for digital cameras.

5. Pixel Size:

Pixel size and pixel number (resolution) together determine the size of the camera target surface. At present, the size of the digital camera head is generally 3μm-10μm.

6. Spectral Range:

It refers to the sensitivity of the pixel sensor to different light waves, the general response range is 350nm-1000nm, some cameras add a filter in front of the target to filter the infrared light, if the system needs to remove the infrared light can remove the filter.

7, sensitive area target size:

Refers to the size of the camera sensor chip, respectively, 1 inch, 2/3 inch, 1/2 inch, 1/3 inch, 1/4 inch, etc., the smaller the number of inches, the smaller the field of view
